Olivia D’Vayne & Dread Post
Welcome to Dread Post, a shadowy corner of the internet where art, storytelling, and the macabre collide. I’m Olivia D’Vayne, The Queen of Quiver. I am an artist, writer, and lifelong curator of the strange and surreal.

My journey into the creative abyss began early. At age four, I traded bedtime lullabies for a flashlight, lit pages of dusty library books, devouring stories like a creature possessed. By nine, I’d won my first art award, a harbinger of the twisted tales and eerie illustrations that would later claw their way out of my imagination. Today, I channel that same restless curiosity into crafting worlds where ghosts whisper, starships creak, and the unknown lurks just beyond the page. Words are my passion, and chills give me thrills.
Horror, paranormal mysteries, and sci-fi aren’t just genres to me, they’re obsessions. There’s a haunting beauty in the unexplainable, a thrill in the cosmic void, and I’ve made it my mission to immortalize that tension through ink, pixels, and prose. Dread Post is my passion project, a love letter to the stories that raise goosebumps and the art that stares back at you from the dark.
When I’m not conjuring nightmares or sketching otherworldly landscapes, you’ll find me wandering the globe with my husband, a retired Air Force veteran whose own stories of service and sacrifice could fill a novel (or three). Our home base in Texas keeps us rooted, but our hearts belong to distant horizons, ancient ruins, fog-drenched forests, and cities that hum with secrets. Every journey fuels my work, stitching fragments of the unfamiliar into the fabric of my fiction and art.

Dread Post is more than a website, it’s a sanctuary for fellow lovers of the uncanny. Here, you’ll find original short stories, spine-tingling illustrations, and musings on the books that shaped me (from Poe’s melancholic ravens to Octavia Butler’s dystopian visions). Whether you’re here to lose yourself in a twilight realm or simply to peek behind the curtain of my creative process, I invite you to stay awhile. The dark is kinder when you’re not alone. Let’s embrace the strange together.
